Rex McDaniel
Rex is a founding partner of the American Speed Club and former professional racer in the IMSA Camel GT Series where he competed against the very best drivers and teams from around the world. His instructing experience consists of twelve years as a Lead Instructor for the Skip Barber Racing School and nearly a decade more on his own programs with Premier Event Services.

Samuel Hubinette
Possibly the best known of the North American “drifters” even though he is actually from Europe.  Described as the “Crazy Swede”, Samuel  arrived in the United States just in time to land his perfect job, driving for Team Mopar in the North American Formula Drift Series.  Promptly claiming the series championship in two of the first three seasons, Samuel gained a tremendous fan club and media attention.  When not competing is his famous Mopar Viper, Samuel performs precision driving roles in television commercials for BF Goodrich and movie roles in the Fast & Furious series.

Rich Rutherford
A professional driver in every sense of the word.  This San Clemente, California resident has spent the past twenty five years as a senior racing instructor for the Skip Barber Racing School, a movie and television stunt driver and a competitor in several professional series including Indy Lights.  When not making movies like the Dukes Of Hazard or the Fast & Furious, Rich is an American Speed Club coach and an avid surfer.

Hugh Plumb
Two years at the University of Delaware and then two more at New England College resulted in a degree in History and a business minor, but Hugh's business was to get to the race track. With two wins and nine podium finishes in thirteen 1996 Skip Barber Racing Series races Hugh was the Rookie of the Year runner-up. The next year Hugh bought his first race car and entered the SCCA World Challenge Championship where he claimed the Rookie Of The Year title and went on to drive for the highly successful RealTime Acura team. Hugh is currently a front running competitor in the Koni Challenge.

John Rutherford
JR has quite literally grown up with auto racing. Son of three-time Indianapolis 500 winner and Indy Car champion Johnny Rutherford, John began his professional racing career in 1991. He has successfully campaigned in Karting, F2000, Formula Atlantic, and Endurance Sports Car competition.

Pierre Kleinubing
Pierre has literally been a championship caliber driver ever since he began racing in his native Brazil.  After several karting and touring car titles in South America, Pierre came to the United States and landed with the Acura factory backed RealTime Racing team.  Competing in the ultra competitive World Challenge series, Pierre has been a five time champion along with a record number of pole positions and race wins.

Tanner Foust
Tanner is a winning competitor in rally, drift, ice racing and time attack. Currently, the star of Speed Channel’s Supercars Exposed television series, he has possibly test driven more of the world’s elite supercar population than any other driver. The past three years have been particularly successful for the Newport Beach resident as he won Gold and Silver medals in the ’07 & ’08 Summer X-Games Pro Rally competition defeating factory Subaru rivals Ken Block and Travis Pastrana. He  backed those accomplishments up with consecutive Professional Formula Drift Championships in ’07 & ’08 leading to an opportunity to represent the USA in the prestigious International Race of Champions. 

Tim Rose
Tim started his racing career over 20 years ago at the prestigious Winfield Racing School in Bandol, France. He's raced in both North America and Europe where his specialty has been formula car and road racing. Over the last 10 years, Tim has taught at some of the top racing schools in the country. He currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Jim Crawford
Jim has worn many hats during his motor sports career.  He began as a skilled engine builder and crewman for top line Trans Am and Indycar teams but switched his interests to driving in the early nineties.  Since then, Jim has competed in karting and Formula 2000 and has been instructing for several of the better known racing and driving schools around the country including the Marlboro Racing Experience where he drives corporate guests on high speed thrill rides in the famous IROC cars. 

Jason Hart
Jason has been a professional instructor and racing driver since 1995 and is currently a Grand-Am and Ferrari North America accredited driver coach. Over the years his experience working with the top racing schools and automotive manufactures has helped him develop a comprehensive vehicle knowledge. While located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Jason can regularly be found at tracks and driving events around the country. Whether on site working the latest ride & drive production or at a race track coaching drivers of every level, you can rest assured Jason loves what he does.

Matt Plumb
Other than being part of the famous racing Plumb brothers, little is known of this mysterious man. He has raced successfully in World Challenge as a member of the RealTime Acura team and in Koni Challenge and Rolex Cup with Team Rum Bum. His good looks, talent and charisma are known worldwide. He doesn't always drink beer, but when he does, he prefers Dos Equis. He is quite simply...the most interesting man in the world.

Adam Burrows
After a seven year stint with Skip Barber, Adam moved on to work on a consultant basis while also cultivating a portfolio of private coaching clients who sought to sharpen their on-track skills. As his professional career continued to accelerate, the pace of his on-track racing caereer grew quickly. With years of amateur competition under his belt, he moved up to the highly competitive Grand-Am Koni Sports Car Challenge winning the championship in 2007, his rookie season. Showing that this was no fluke, he backed that up with a pair of wins and second in the year-end championship standings. Burrows is currently a regular in the Grand Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and the President of the Matt Plumb Fan Club!

Kurt Spitzner
Kurt is a versatile member of the American Speed Club team. Throughout his many years in motorsports Kurt has been an Executive Administrator for professional racing series such as the North American Touring Car Championship and the SCCA Pro Rally Series. He has run driving schools, served as a series Technical Advisor and been a driver coach to numerous television personalities. Presently, Kurt is the Senior Fleet Supervisor for Premier Event Services and Chief Instructor at the Bridgestone Winter Driving
School.

Tommy Fogarty
Tommy Fogarty grew up and currently lives in the Santa Cruz mountains of Northern California.  He began racing at the amateur level in 1991 and finished as the top rookie at the SCCA Runoffs, Tommy returned to college to complete his degree in business and then resumed racing as a professional in 1993.  Tommy has raced in Star Mazda, Barber Dodge Pro Series and SPEED Cup.  Most recently Tommy won races in the challenging Golden State 410 Sprint Car series. He currently works all over the world as a driver development coach and vehicle development and demonstration driver.

Nick Kunewalder
Nick Kunewalder is another member of the ASC team with a diverse and colorful background. Nick has competed in the Barber Dodge Pro Series, Formulas Atlantic and the American Indycar Series. He instructs for the American Speed Club, the Skip Barber Racing School and is active in teenage driver training programs all across the United States. In addition to his instructing roles, Nick is also a member of the Marlboro Hot Lap team and a pace car driver for the Long Beach Grand Prix. When not behind the wheel, Nick enjoys riding his motorcycle and surfing in Costa Rica.

Stina Hubinette
When she is not traveling the world managing husband Samuel's racing career, Stina performs precision driving roles in commercials here in the United States and competes in endurance racing in Sweden as well as California region NASA competition and Time Attack.

Kevin Schrantz
Living in the mountains outside Boulder, Colorado has given Kevin the opportunity to become quite accomplished in a number of motorsports disciplines. After a nine year career racing amateur motocross for Kawasaki’s Team Green on a national level, Kevin switched to four wheels and immediately won the Speedvision Touring Car Rookie of the Year award piloting one of the Realtime Racing factory backed Acuras. Kevin went on to finish third in the series the following year and won in his SCCA Pro Rally debut. Since then, Kevin has become a skilled ice racing competitor and instructs at the Bridgestone Winter Driving School when not performing precision driving roles for film agencies.

Lea Croteau
Lea is another American Speed Club team member with an extensive background with the Bridgestone Winter Driving School. When she’s not teaching on the slippery stuff, Lea competes in SCCA and NASA competition. Being a regular on the manufacturer ride & drive scene, a former member of the PPG Indy Car Pace Car Team and a current member of the Marlboro Drifting Team gives her plenty of experience in a wide variety of vehicles which she also happens to write about in her daily blog...365drive.blogspot.com.
