My American Speed Club track day experience was even more than what I expected…  

The first stop was the VIP tent that was every bit as accommodating as what you might experience at a professional racing event. Private chef making omelets for breakfast, steak lunch and fresh boiled shrimp, lox and bagels for snacks. Flat screen TVs, white table cloths and comfortable couches to relax on between sessions.  That is even before you hit the track.  

After a brief tech inspection you are off to make laps with or without an instructor…I need all the assistance I can get. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the cars handling capabilities, limitations, and where you want to be on the track at all times. By the end of the day I was lapping within a second of much more experienced drivers participating in the event.      

Bring you’re “A” game and be prepared for a driving experience that you can’t get at any ordinary track day…It took two days for the adrenalin to wear off!

I had the best time of my life on Saturday! It may not have looked like it on my face, since it took a lot of concentration, but it was simply amazing to feel what my car (and I) could do on a real road course. I thought for many years about participating in a track day and I'm glad I finally did.

I have to thank everyone that took the time to put this event together, to put me at ease, and deliver a first class experience. All the details, from great meals, to personalized driving help, down to the scratch protective socket that was used on the torque wrench during tech inspection...you guys were great! Thank you!
